About Us

I'm Ben, a multi-award-winning Sourdough Baker, County Show Bread Judge, and the passionate founder of The Sourdough Store.

My journey into competitive baking began in 2022, culminating a lifetime of avid home baking and over ten years of professional experience in the catering industry. I secured my first ever win, taking First Place at the Bucks County Show in the Cottage Loaf class.

My pivotal Sourdough moment came in 2023 with the birth of my sourdough starter, carefully cultivated specifically for Bake International. This commitment paid off: my sourdough was awarded a Gold Award! Since then, I have specialized in competing with sourdough across the UK.

My biggest achievement to date was this year, where I secured Best in Show at Bake International for both my signature Sourdough and Wholemeal loaves. 

My commitment is to bring the highest quality competition standard to every product I sell at The Sourdough Store.
